Awesome. I've watched this movie at least 3 times this year. It's a piece of flawed genius that seems at the same time really well-made and yet poorly put together. The story seems well-thought out, but somehow didn't translate to the script (or something got lost on the cutting room floor). Or like they missed shooting some scenes. But it's got a great look, unique world, a cool car, some gender role reversal, it's well-shot in nice locations, great score... In some ways it seems like the story shown on-screen transcends a lacklustre script... but in some ways, it seems like the script is assuming intelligence on the part of the viewer... this movie doesn't seem to have a lot of fans, but it *is* one of my favourites from the post-apocalyptic genre, as it were.
